About the Book
It’s Spring Appraisals at fairy school, and best friends Zaeda and Luli are anxious, but for different reasons. Zaeda knows the tests will bring her closer to the end of the school year and more fun growing her magical service—which is the magic fairies develop in order to go on and complete missions to help those in need in the human world. But Luli hates school—her brain just doesn’t process numbers naturally and she finds it hard to focus.
Zaeda doesn’t seem to understand why Luli finds school so hard when she knows Luli is smart and creative. As Zaeda goes about life with ease and dismisses Luli’s feelings, Luli begins to ignore Zaeda at school and hides away at home. Zaeda is hurt and upset; she doesn’t understand why Luli does not want to be her friend anymore. And while this happens, Zaeda and Luli realize the glow of their service—the magic within them that will help them fly and carry out their missions—is fading and they worry it will never return.
For their service to glow brilliantly again, Zaeda and Luli must go on a quest to discover why their magic has faded. But will they be able to work together to solve this problem? Who will help them? And how will they accomplish a task when they don’t even know where to start? Zaeda and the Quest for Service is a wonderful, empowering tale that not only provides healthy strategies to help children overcome painful experiences but also teaches them to have compassion for themselves and others. Parents reading this book with their children will also find language for supporting them through similar challenges.

About the Book
Meet Soren, an outwardly regular kid but a kid with not just one, but two, amazing superpowers! Before he understood his powers, they showed up for him as big worries that would take over, his mind moving too fast, or him having a hard time focusing. Soren shares his journey of understanding his powers and how he became the boss of those powers rather than letting his powers be the boss of him. You might even recognize these superpowers in yourself and get some good strategies on how to grow them to become the powerful superhero that you are too!
